i must have been 5 or 6, but i remember sitting next to grandmother and watching, through the glass-bottomed boat, the beautiful ladies in mermaid costumes pretending to find a treasure chest...it was corny, even then, but i got to see my grandfather in a garish hawaiian shirt and a straw hat.......it would be the only time for that! my aunt louise and i had matching caps!

it has always been my fashion to get beneath the surface of things, to understand how I work AND how others are put together.......the task grows more formidable as personas develop into monsters that must be continually fed by reaffirmation for their own rationalizations and others seeming acceptance of their denial systems. I just want to rip through this integument of madness and get to the creatures that we ALL are! ......
