for my bedroom.......the contrast ratio was too dismal and.....although its picture was better than the old clunker that I was using, an inheritance from my mother, this new 1080P unit is just about perfect.....well, almost just about perfect, anyway.....the sony sound system is beautiful and well-matched, if a bit shrill and "present" for my tastes......time for a B&W intercession, i think.....

i couldn't stand it.....the new Philips is already in the place of the old unit. excellent.....!
life is short....entertain it.....
so was the life of this tv! a vertical line appeared on the screen almost immediately.....Philips is sending a new LCD panel, however.....but I'm not counting chickens yet!
