EVERY THOUGHT IS A CORNER

some thinking draws along a bed of thought
with high posters and canopy for intuitions;
the nightly dreamworld in a box,
the drifting clouds that rise and move
then vanish in the skies of dreaming.

and other thinking solves our problems,
stacks and organizes precious bits and dots
and files itself away in numbered pages,
for quick recall to tasks at hand
and ways to make today tomorrow.

but there are thoughts that come
from wells so deep within the heart,
that land in corners of imagining,
and fall to rest before the paths beyond,
so never seen by morning's light.

but every thought and dream and will
is subject to the ebb and flow of time,
that takes these bits and dots away,
to leave what was tomorrow,
beached with thoughts from yesterday.
