DITCHING 'GOD'.....BEFORE IT GOT HARD-WIRED

 Digging through boxes in the basement, a few years ago, I came across some of my old Rick Brant (aka 'Blake Savage'..aka Harold Leland Goodwin) Scientific Adventures Books.....Never interested in the fantasies of Tom Swift, I quickly read all the Rick Brant books, which had replaced my Bomba, The Jungle Boy, books, read when 9 or ten....At 11, I had arrived at Real Science, and some books about the 'then' forbidden or censored subjects.. such as Evolution, Atheism or anything that even suggested any contradictions to the religious Dogma of that Era....which supplanted the Uncle Arthur's Bedtime Story books that my religious Aunt Frances Teal had given me as a child..........GOD died in this process, as my perspectives on Life were transfomed by this 'evolutionary' revelation of emerging from 'the caves of Fear'.......Unburdened by dogma and superstition, I quickly challenged established systems with great skepticism and a newly open mind.......Today....still....I shutter a bit when anyone says 'Thank God' or mentions 'thoughts and prayers'.....wondering...whether or not...these folks would...in the here and now....want to pull these old 'thinking' children's novels from the Library/Home/Bookstore Shelves and burn them in the streets, thinking the smoke fumes from this immolation might appease their imaginary vindictive god/gods that have clouded rational imaginations since the pre-frontal cortex's relatively vacant space finally connected to tenaciously hard-wired Primal brain stems, establishing the Labyrinth of Mind between the snapping turtle reactive synapses and the analytical, scientific multi possibilital accumulation of non-conclusional, less restrained/constrained associations
