LOUIS XIV

I have had this set of Gorham silverware for 35 years.......
During a clean up, many years ago, some of the pieces
were accidentally dumped into the trash and disposed of.....
On another occasion, during a flash food, while I was
transporting the huge casket of silver to my parents'
vehicle, I slipped in the mud and the flatware fell into
a huge pond of water.....more pieces were lost.....the pattern was discontinued
in 1879, and it has been practically impossible to replace
the beautiful pieces.........The set lanquishes in the old,
oak box, occasionally seeing the light, on very special
evenings.......
